Joining your video session is easy. Follow these steps for the best experience:
Before Your Session
- Test your camera and microphone 5-10 minutes before the session
- Use a supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge - latest versions)
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection
- Find a quiet place with good lighting
- Have any materials or questions ready
Joining the Session
- Go to your dashboard and find the upcoming session
- Click "Join Session" button (available 5 minutes before start time)
- Allow camera and microphone permissions when prompted
- Wait for your tutor to join (students) or start the session (tutors)
- You'll see the video room with camera, microphone, and chat controls
Session reminders are sent 24 hours, 1 hour, and 15 minutes before your session starts.
During the Session
- Use screen sharing to show your work or materials
- Use the chat feature for sharing links or notes
- Mute your microphone when not speaking to reduce background noise
- Turn off your camera if you have connection issues
